TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 
General Information:
This year’s performance lasts approximately 1hr 50min including interval. The performance time may vary due to it being a live show and can change without notice due to circumstances beyond our control.

The doors will be open 30/45 min before the show. During this time Circus souvenirs & refreshments will be on sale. You are welcome to take your seats in the Circus Big Top and get comfortable.

We ask you to arrive on time. Any late arrivals may be asked to be admitted at a suitable time of the performance.
Pushchairs, prams and car seats are unable to be admitted to the Big Top due to the fire regulations, however, a small area by the entrance will be set aside for you to leave them there at your own risk, however, if you are able to leave them in your car, it may be a better option.

During the performance, there may be flashing lights and smoke effects in operation as well as the possibility of being splashed with water or the occaisional popcorn throwing.

Still and video photography is allowed during a performance for private use only without a flash, as this may distract the artistes and cause injury. Commercial photography and video filming are not permitted without prior agreement and payment of a location fee and performance fees.

Dogs or any other animals are not permitted into the Big Top with the exception of Guide Dogs.

Allergies If you or someone you are attending with has any allergies to anything that could possibly be consumed or used in our shows, please advise the door staff or email the Box Office on info@circuscortex.com.

There will be toilets available on site, including disabled facilities.

Please note outside events by their nature can be held on venues, which can be uneven, please wear appropriate footwear.

Abusive Behaviour
Ticket holders must comply with the instructions and directions of Circus Cortex personnel. Abuse will not be tolerated at the Circus by anyone to any other customers, management, staff or performer either directly in person, over the phone or online. Abuse can be defined as exhibiting rude, threatening, abusive or violent behaviour which can manifest itself as being aggressive, and comments of a sexist, racist or homophobic nature; including intimidating language, attitude and tone of voice, with or without swearing. In such circumstances, the management reserves the right to remove such ticket holder without a refund.

Bookings
Tickets for the performance can be booked online, by telephone or in-person at the Circus Box Office. Sales by phone or by internet will incur a small booking fee. Tickets may be available from other sources, these may have various offers, charges, allocations or availability.
*​Everybody aged two and above requires a ticket to see the show, children under 2 are admitted free but must be sat on an adults knee.

The child price is for children under 14 years old. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Child (aged 2-13).
Over 65s, Carer and SEN discounts are given on the production of a valid ID.

Online tickets are purchased through our website using a 3rd party ticket vendor Ticket Tailor. You will be asked to complete an order form and tickets will be emailed to you.

Tickets are not exchangeable online. Please email info@circuscortex.com or 0203 8160295 to speak to a member of the team.
Tickets are non-transferable.

Telephone bookings on 0203 8160295, from 10 am – 8pm. Calls are charged at your local rates.

You must collect your tickets from the Circus Box Office a minimum of 30min before the performance. You must bring with you the payment card used for booking and proof of discounts/concessions used for booking.

At the time of the booking please check with the operator all your details are correct as once the phone calls end, the booking is final and will be processed.

Box Office on-site open from 10:00am and is open all day up to the start of the last performance on each day. It is the customer’s responsibility to present the correct details to the Box Office staff and show the proof of all discounts/concessions at the time of booking. Please check all the details of the tickets/change given before you leave the window.
If any discounts or concessions are used to book tickets online or over the phone, the proof of discount/concessions will be checked at the entrance to the Circus. If such proof is not provided, we reserve the right to charge the difference between discounted/concession ticket price and the full price.
 
Disabled
Anybody requiring a wheelchair space please book direct via Circus Box Office phone line 0203 8160295. We have limited availability for wheelchairs per performance and these will need to book in advance, so as to avoid disappointment.

Payments
We accept online payment through our secure payment system using credit or debit card. We currently accept MasterCard / Visa / Switch. All prices are accurate at the time of publication and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT).
Cards or cash are suitable methods of payment on-site, however, due to remote positions of some of our venues, card machine connections can’t be guaranteed; please bring cash just in case.

Refunds/Exchanges
Refunds are only available if a performance is cancelled, however, tickets can be changed to an alternative performance, subject to availability. Should tickets for an alternative performance be of a greater value, you must pay the difference. Child Safety
The Circus is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and also has a duty of care to its own personnel.
In this respect, our policies include compliance by all staff to the following:
They will not be placed in a caring or supervisory position, without your express written agreement that has been made in advance of the visit event etc.
 
They will not ask for the personal details or contact details of any young person or offer supply or give out their own details.
 
We expect you to agree to the following:
Parents/guardians are responsible for the reasonable behaviour of children in their care whilst on-site at the circus. This includes both the circus seating areas, any areas of queueing and all other areas on site. During the performance, you are required to ensure that any young person under your guardianship is seated and not exposed to obvious danger taking proper care at all times.

Parents/Guardians undertake to never leave children or young persons unaccompanied in the presence of a Circus employee without our express written agreement that has been made in advance of the visit.
You will inform your child/young person that they must not ask any other person from the circus for their personal details or give their personal details to any staff.

Children/young persons must not approach Circus personnel unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.
 
Lost Children
A Lost Children’s Point at the circus will be clearly marked normally at the main entrance.

Disclaimer and limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Show productions Ltd, nor any associated company will be liable to you or to any other person by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other terms, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of Show Productions or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

Show Productions Ltd (Trading as Circus Cortex) does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members, agents, directors, or employees, or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.
We have compiled the information on this website as carefully as possible. The information on our website is intended as general information. Any decisions you make based on this information are at your own expense and risk. The goal of Circus Cortex is to ensure that this information is accurate, complete and up to date. Nonetheless, the information may contain errors or inaccuracies. We therefore cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage suffered as a result of using this website.
While Show Productions Ltd takes all reasonable steps to ensure fast and reliable service, Show Productions Ltd will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to the products ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.
No person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Nothing in these conditions is intended or shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be legally excluded.
